Lucky Charms Krispies Treats are a fun, colorful twist on the classic marshmallow treat. With crunchy cereal, gooey marshmallows, and a white chocolate drizzle, they’re perfect for St. Patrick’s Day, parties, or anytime you want a playful no-bake dessert that makes people smile!
And honestly? These treats are a little bit healing, too.

From Cornflakes to Lucky Charms
Growing up, we were very much boring cereal kids. My parents were teachers, money was tight, and fun cereals like Lucky Charms lived firmly in the other people’s carts at the grocery store. We ate cornflakes. We ate plain Cheerios. Occasionally Raisin Bran if things were really wild.
Lucky Charms felt like a luxury cereal reserved for commercials and sleepovers at houses with better snacks.
Now that I’m a grandma, being able to casually buy a box of Lucky Charms and turn it into a fun little treat for my grandbabies feels oddly emotional in the best way. It’s like giving little-me a hug through dessert. Healing your inner child… but make it marshmallowy.
Why You’ll Love These Lucky Charms Krispies Treats
- No baking required
- Quick and easy to make
- Bright, colorful, and festive
- Perfect for kids, parties, and bake sales
- Nostalgic in the best possible way
They’re chewy, crunchy, sweet, and just a little bit ridiculous. Which is exactly what a St. Patrick’s Day treat should be!
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 7 cups mini marshmallows
- 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 4 cups Lucky Charms cereal
- ½ cup Lucky Charms marshmallows (picked out)
- ½ cup white chocolate melts

Supplies You’ll Need
- Measuring cups
- Large pot
- Silicone spoon or spatula
- 9×13 inch pan
- Parchment paper
- Small microwave-safe bowl
How to Make Lucky Charms Krispies Treats
Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
Measure out your cereals and set them aside. Pick out ½ cup of extra Lucky Charms marshmallows and save those for the topping.
Melt the butter over low heat in a large pot. Add the mini marshmallows and stir frequently until completely melted and smooth.

Remove from heat and stir in the Rice Krispies cereal first, then gently fold in the Lucky Charms cereal.

Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan using a greased spatula or wax paper.
Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each round until smooth.

Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the top of the cereal mixture and sprinkle with the reserved Lucky Charms marshmallows.

Let the treats set for about 1 hour, then cut into squares. I like to do 6 rows by 4 rows for nice, even pieces.

Tips & Variations
- For extra gooey treats, add an extra cup of mini marshmallows when mixing in the cereal.
- These store well in an airtight container, making them perfect for make-ahead party desserts.
- Want to switch it up? This recipe works beautifully with other seasonal cereals throughout the year.
