Today we are going to be looking at the best colognes for teen boys! I did a deep dive into TikTok perfume guys and gals to find out what everyone thinks is banging!

The Gift Giving Mission!
So I am trying to get my teen son a “cool” bottle of cologne for his birthday. He LOVES stinking up the house with his sprays and if I have to smell him so much, I would like to find something “affordable” and that I like too!
We have had “the talk” about gifts, that he gets fewer that are more expensive rather than lots of little crap that he might not like as well or use, and he has said he would like better quality gifts.
The Research Process
So this is not a “find it cheaper” post or a “which is a better value per ounce” cologne post… instead I was just trying to find out which cologne the kids like these days. You can get them all in one size or another for about 100-150 dollars.
I KNOW, that is a crazy amount of money to spend, but we give our kids about $400 worth of birthday gifts a year, so having one bottle of expensive cologne is not going to blow our budget.
I can't talk much, my favorite perfume is Hypnotic Poison which is a $100 too so that may be where he gets his taste!
The 10 Best Cologne's For Teen Boys
Okay, here is the list including scents and some brief notes about why I put them into the order I did!
#1 Azzaro Wanted Parfum
Azzaro Wanted smells like woody, aromatic, and spicy… I don't love that it is shaped like a gun cartridge, but it makes sense that teen boys would love this!
#2 Hugo Boss
Hugo Boss smells like apple, cinnamon and geranium… we have had this one and it smells super nice and fresh!
#3 Creed Adventus
Creed Adventus smells like bergamot and pineapple, but someone said oregano too… very stinky. Interesting, it is not on Sephora or Ulta, maybe try a department store?
#4 Dior Sauvage
Dior Sauvage Eau de Toilette smells like spice, lavender and woods… I can go with that! The guys on the TikTok say that the Eau de Toilette version is better than the more expensive parfum one which is great…. cheaper for you!
#5 Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Elixir Parfum
Le Male smells like amber, tonka bean (tropical), lavender, and vanilla. About the same price as the rest!
#6 Armani Stronger With You Intensely
Armani Stronger With You Intensely smells like Chestnut, Lavender, Tender Sage, and Vanilla. This one is the cheapest that I found if you are on a budget but want something “cool”.
#7 Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Eau de Toilette
Uomo Born in Roma smells like Violet, Vetiver and Ginger. About normal pricing, a couple of guys mentioned this one so it made the list.
#8 Xerjoff Alexandria II
Xerjoff Alexandria II smells like cinnamon, agarwood, rosewood, and vanilla. This one is right up there with Tom Ford in pricing…. I could only find it at Neiman Marcus.
#9 Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille Eau de Parfum Fragrance
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille smells like Tobacco Leaf, Vanilla and Ginger. About twice as much as my budget is for the kid, but seems nice.
#10 Louis Vuitton Imagination
Okay, let's call a spade a spade, Louis Vuitton Imagination seems lovely but it made the bottom of my list because it is over $300 a bottle…. are you kidding me? Smells like citron, bergamot, orange, neroli, ginger, Chinese black tea, and amber.
What Colognes To Avoid
I have been in Ross or TJ Maxx with my son and he has a list of ones that are not good in his head. Here are some of the ones that are on the no buy list!
Versace Eros
Versace Eros is available at Walmart which is so not cool to teen boys! You would be better off to buy a smaller size of a different one to make your teen kid happy!
Nautica Voyage
The guys seem to say that this one is not good anymore either!
Best Colognes for Teen Boys Wrapup
Okay, that was A LOT of research for one little birthday present, but my son REALLY likes to wear cologne and finding the best one for him is important to me!
I wound up getting the Sauvage because I don't love the idea of a gun cylinder for a bottle (and Johnny Depp is doing their marketing campaign… you know I love me some marketing!)
