Why I Made This Journal

I don't know about you, but Pooh bear and his Hundred Acre friends have been a part of my whole life! My Mom painted Eyore, Pooh and Tigger and hung them in my nursery… THAT is how long I have loved Pooh!

A few years ago I started junk journaling and started making graphics for me to use in my work, and then one day thought, why not share these cool printables with all my online peeps too! So now there is a huge library of fun things for us to play with in our artwork!

All The Pooh Printables

Today’s freebie download is 5 printable pages of Pooh vintage ephemera! Oh my gosh, this turned out so darn cute… I can't even stand it!

Tips For Printing and Cutting Out Your Junk Journal

I have started to make a journal with this kit already and as I got going I noted a few tips and ideas for how to make this easier in case this is your first journal!

Heavy White Printer Paper

For this project I printed out all the page on Hammermill premium paper. I KNOW, it is so much easier if you use white cardstock, but printing results of the vintage colors can muddy on a lower quality, less bright white paper.

You can paste the cutouts to cardstock after for things like the tags and covers! OR you can print them out on a full sheet of white sticker paper if you are going to use these in your planner (it won't hold up to mixed media if that is your jam!)

Cutting Out The Printables

I used two kinds of scissors for cutting this out… a large pair of good craft scissors (DO NOT let your kids use these for anything if you want to get clean cuts!) and smaller “snips” scissors to do the fussy cutting!

Start by cutting the straight cuts on the sides of the tags, vignettes and journal pages with the large scissors doing all the straight cuts first. Then cut around the fancy vintage ephemera.

THEN switch over to the snips to do the detail work! Trust me, this makes cutting out the Pooh papers SO MUCH EASIER!

You could use a digital cutter if you have trouble with shaking (me) or have arthritis in your hands.

Commercial License For Printing (and Copyright)

I got the images for this junk journal kit from the Gutenberg Library which has books that have exited copyright and entered into the public domain. I also used public domain images from The Graphics Fairy in the backgrounds (they use public domain sources for their images too!)

I cleaned up the images and colorized them in Procreate which gives me the ability to Copyright this version of the images and allow you to use them in your artwork and products for sale!

You can do any kind of sales of the Winnie The Pooh printables (even the whole collage sheets) as long as you print them first!

There is no commercial use license to distribute these digitally, if you want to share them with a friend just send her to this page and she can download them herself!

And no, Disney doesn't own the copyright to Winnie the Pooh images, except for the specific version of Pooh they made… don't mess with new Pooh!
