Turkey Fruit Skewers Platter
This fun and healthy holiday snack is made with colorful fruit skewers arranged to look like a festive turkey! It’s a creative way to serve fresh fruit for Thanksgiving that both kids and adults will absolutely adore.
Servings: About 4
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Storage: Refrigerate if making ahead (assemble just before serving for best results)
What You’ll Need:
Ingredients:
- 1 pear, cut in half
- 10 red grapes
- ¼ cantaloupe, cut into 1-inch cubes (plus a tiny triangle for the nose)
- 4 strawberries, cut in half
- 2 candy eyeballs

Tools:
- Cutting board
- Sharp knife
- Large round plate
- Food picks or skewers (these cute ones work great → cocktail skewers on Amazon)
- 3 toothpicks, broken in half
How to Make Your Fruit Turkey:
Cut the fruit
Slice the pear in half lengthwise - this will be your turkey’s adorable little body. Cube the cantaloupe, halve the strawberries, and carve out a teensy cantaloupe triangle for the nose.

Build the “feathers”
On each skewer or food pick, stack a strawberry half, a cantaloupe cube, and a grape. These are your colorful tail feathers!

Create your turkey
Place the pear half flat side down on a large plate. Starting at the top, poke the skewers into the rounded edge to fan them out like feathers.

Add the feet
Stick a half toothpick into each of two grapes, then poke them into the bottom of the pear to make cute little turkey feet.

Make the face
Use another half toothpick to attach the cantaloupe triangle nose, then gently press on your candy eyeballs. (Hot tip: a tiny dab of peanut butter helps them stick and gives you bonus flavor points.)

Tips + Substitutions:
- No candy eyes? Use mini chocolate chips or raisins for a more natural look!
- Mix up the fruit: Pineapple chunks, blueberries, or kiwi would be beautiful too.
- Want it sweeter? Add a few mini marshmallows to the skewers and serve with a honey yogurt dip.
- Serving a crowd? Make a big “turkey platter” with multiple pears and extra skewers.
