The Baccarat Hotel signature scent is simply divine – sophisticated, elegant, and luxurious! I wanted to figure out how to make this scent with essential oils to make my house smell amazing!

Naturally, I couldn't resist the urge to recreate this amazing scent at home! After some research and experimentation (and a few trips back to the hotel with my daughter to really analyze the scent!), I think I've cracked the code.

Decoding the Baccarat Fragrance

The hotel describes its signature scent as a "gentle and refined mix" of floral and woody notes. It starts with bergamot and sweet berries, followed by jasmine and saffron, and settles into a base of oakmoss, amber, and vanilla.

Sounds complex, right? But with essential oils, it's totally achievable!

When you start to understand how these hotel scents are complex mixes of scents, it is fun to try and figure out the makeups of the scents!

Top Notes:

  • Bergamot essential oil (for that initial citrus burst)
  • Sandalwood essential oil (adding a touch of warmth from the start)
  • Oud essential oil (a luxurious, slightly smoky touch)

Middle Notes:

  • Jasmine essential oil (floral and intoxicating)
  • Saffron essential oil (a subtle spice and unique character)
  • Raspberry essential oil blend (I found a lovely raspberry oil)

Base Notes:

  • Oakmoss essential oil (earthy and grounding - this is the one I got and the fam loves my blends)
  • Amber essential oil (warm and sensual)
  • Vanilla essential oil (sweet and comforting)

4 drops Bergamot essential oil

2 drops Saffron essential oil
4 drops Raspberry essential oil
2 drops Oakmoss essential oil
2 drops Amber essential oil
3 drops Vanilla essential oil
