Why Did I Make These?

I’ve always been drawn to vintage textiles—the kind you'd find in an old camper van or tucked away in a thrift store. These retro faux fabric patterns were inspired by that aesthetic, with a big nod to the bold geometrics and warm palettes of the 60s and 70s. If you're a fan of mid-century mod, this freebie is for you!

Why Are They Free?

I absolutely love making beautiful things and sharing them with fellow creatives. Giving away free printables helps make art and crafting accessible to everyone—whether you’re a hobbyist, an Etsy seller, or a librarian prepping a classroom project!

Sharing these designs freely is my way of spreading inspiration and joy! For these I used a combination of my creativity and images from Creative Fabrica.

And here is a super cute way that Anja SEWED the faux fabric printables… they look so real but are soooo much easier to use than fabric! This is what she said… “You can sew paper just like fabric. Just be a little more careful.”

How to Print Them Out

You’ll get the most vibrant results printing these on high-quality cardstock or matte photo paper. The textured patterns look amazing when printed, and they hold up well for cutting, gluing, and layering in your art.

For best results:

  • Use your printer’s best quality setting
  • Choose white cardstock or thick presentation paper
  • Let ink dry before handling to avoid smudging

Commercial License for Printing

These printables come with a generous print license:

You can print them out and:

  • Use in junk journals you sell on Etsy
  • Create handmade items to sell at craft shows
  • Distribute in classrooms or library events

What you can’t do:

  • Resell or distribute the digital files
  • Upload them for download elsewhere

As long as you’re using them in a printed form, you’re good to go! This is all about encouraging creativity and supporting small makers and educators.
