Why I Made These Layouts
Last week I finished up the Tim Holtz mini folio journal and I couldn't get my mind off of all those images that I had already cut out and stuck in a folder so I pulled them and made paper dolls from them!
Having so many cut up images is a crying shame and so I determined to make fun layouts with them, NO MATTER WHAT!
The thing to notice at this point is that they aren't very cute. They are functionally a bunch of images stuck randomly on a page and they aren't supposed to be cute at this time, they are supposed to be a starting point!

Here are the fun ways I laid out the paper dolls with a few quick thoughts about them!
Comforter Girl – Mixed Media Magazine Collage
Okay, the thing I love about this gal the most is that she is standing on a turtle and that her head and hands are ridiculously big for her comforter skirt and body!
Spy Girl and Happy Smile Lady – Mixed Media Magazine Collage
This one doesn't have a name yet, but I DO love how happy the lady in the back is and how they both have super snazzy hats on!
Bird Cocktail Girls – Mixed Media Magazine Collage
I don't know the name of these gals yet either, but I couldn't love them more! The birds are heading out on the town and everyone better watch out!
Oh Deer – Mixed Media Magazine Collage
How cute is this gal with her saucy arm and chock full of attitude? I have already added some fun bits in the lower left of corner of this piece and it is coming along nicely!
Raffles the Cat Woman – Mixed Media Magazine Collage
This is one hip, cool cat out on the town, shopping at the best boutiques and staying at the Raffles Hotel!
Yellow Lady – Mixed Media Magazine Collage
This is the least thought out one at this point… hmmm I am thinking maybe I will find lots of yellow things and make it fairly monochromatic? Let's wait and see!
Dancing Deer – Mixed Media Magazine Collage
This one looks super pretty at the start, but for sure she is going to need a fair bit of work to get fancy enough to be a really a piece of art!
Gluing Down Magazine Collage Images Wrapup
The one thing that I am focusing on with this set of collages is to add LOTS of fun and interesting layers of images and words to make wicked cool artwork!
