Why Did I Make These?
I’ve been dreaming about doing a series of super maximalist collages - something totally over-the-top, joyfully chaotic, and full of unexpected pairings. Valentine’s Day felt like the perfect excuse to dive in headfirst!
I had so much fun with this batch, especially mixing things like soft vintage imagery with bold song lyrics. There’s a little Whitesnake, a little Madonna, even some Van Halen tucked in there. I’ve also been experimenting more with including handwritten words and text in my collage work - trying to tell more of a story right on the page.
