💭 Why Did I Make These?
Okay bestie, confession time. I grew up in northwestern Pennsylvania, right in the shadow of Lake Erie. Which means I know snow. I know sleet. I know that gray, ankle-deep slush that somehow soaks through every pair of boots you’ve ever owned. 😩 And if I never hear the phrase “lake effect snow” again for the rest of my life, I will be just fine, thank you very much.
BUT. (You knew there was a but.)
I also loved skiing and sledding as a kid, so I know the magic of winter too. There’s nothing quite like waking up to a fresh, crisp blanket of snow that nobody has walked on yet. Everything is sparkly and quiet, and it feels like the whole world just hit the reset button. ✨
So this kit is my love letter to the good parts of winter: the fresh powder, the sledding hills, the cocoa afterward. No slush allowed!
And then, of course, there are the animals in sweaters. 🐻🧣 I mean... come ON. A polar bear in a fair isle sweater? A raccoon in a striped scarf? A little white fox in a puffy coat doing a happy dance? I didn’t stand a chance. These critters basically designed themselves into this kit, and I regret nothing.
If you love cozy critters as much as I do, you might also enjoy my other free printables in the library!
For this set I used a combination of Creative Fabrica, The Graphics Fairy and my creativity!

🖨️ How to Print Them Out
Here are my best tips for getting these winter goodies looking their absolute best:
- Paper choice: I love matte photo paper for the washi strips, borders, and stickers because it makes those blues really pop. For the quote cards and journaling cards, a 65–110 lb cardstock gives them a nice sturdy feel. Want actual stickers? Print on full-sheet sticker paper!
- Printer settings: Choose “high quality” or “best” and print at 100% / actual size. Uncheck “fit to page” so nothing gets shrunk.
- Scaling: Want mini versions for a pocket journal? Scale down to 75–80% and they’ll still look adorable.
- Cutting the washi strips: For that real washi tape look, trim with deckle-edge scissors or carefully tear the ends. Use a craft knife and ruler on the long edges so they stay crisp.
- Fussy cutting: The hexagon chain and circle borders can be cut as one long strip or snipped apart into individual stickers. Two looks in one!
- Distressing: Run a blue ink pad (Distress Ink in Tumbled Glass or Faded Jeans is perfect) along the edges for a frosty, vintage feel.
- Extra sparkle: Add tiny white gel pen dots for falling snow, or a touch of clear glitter glue on the snowflakes. ✨
- Laminating: Using the quote cards as bookmarks or gift tags? A quick pass through the laminator makes them last all season.

💙 Let’s Wrap This Up (Like a Cozy Scarf!)
I hope these winter printables bring a little sparkle and a whole lot of cozy to your creative time, bestie! Whether you’re surrounded by actual snowdrifts or, like me, your “winter” is a light jacket and a frosty iced coffee 😂, these pages let you capture all the magic of the season. You get the fresh powder and the sweater-wearing critters with none of the slush.
I can’t wait to see how you use them! Layer the washi strips, tuck the quote cards into pockets, and let those hexagon borders frame your favorite winter memories. Your spreads are going to be so beautiful. ❄️✨
📚 Cozy reading pairing: Winter journaling sessions call for a good book! I’m recommending The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey, an enchanting, snowy, fairytale-ish novel set in 1920s Alaska. It’s the perfect frosty mood to journal by. Prefer to listen while you craft? You can grab it on Audible here and let the story play while you cut and glue. 🎧
