What You'll Need For This Homemade Essential Oil Soap
Before you begin, make sure you have all the necessary items:
Products
- Owl Soap Mold: Find it on Amazon for the perfect shape (I got two of these so I didn't have to wait to make the second bar!)
- Microwave-Safe Measuring Cup with Spout: Essential for melting and pouring
- Wooden Craft Stick: For stirring your soap mixture smoothly
Ingredients
Gather your ingredients for two beautiful soap bars:
- ¼ lb Shea Butter Melt and Pour Soap Base
- 7 drops Rosemary Essential Oil
- 15 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- ½ tsp Silk Purple Mica Powder
note: you could use a different essential oil blend if you wanted!
Let's Make Soap!
You are going to love how fast and easy it is to make these essential oils soaps!
Preparation (5 minutes): Start by cutting the soap base into 1-inch cubes. Place these cubes into your measuring cup.
Melting: Microwave on high for 30 seconds, then stir with your wooden stick. If not fully melted, continue heating in 10-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted.
Scenting: Add your essential oils to the melted soap base, stirring well.
Coloring: Incorporate the silk purple mica powder, mixing thoroughly until the color is even.
Molding: Pour the mixture into your owl mold. Allow it to set for about 1 hour.
Repeating: Follow the steps again to make your second bars of soap.
After an hour of downtime, you'll have two enchanting Lavender & Rosemary Owl Soap Bars ready to use or gift.
