Today I am going to be making checkerboard backgrounds using a fancy deli papers and assorted papers! Great for your art journal, mixed media or junk journals!

All The Checkered Backgrounds
I am loving how these backgrounds are turning out so far! If I had to pick one I liked the best I would for sure pick the vintage paper background with the black checkerboard border!
I used a pack of 24 Checkered Deli Papers to make these. For all of these I started with a base of either Canson XL Mixed Media paper or pages pulled out of my Creative Journals.
Then I used a mix of maps, ledger paper, graph paper, sheet music and vintage paper as the middles and then used the checked papers as accents!
