How To Make DIY Milk and Honey Bath Melts
This recipe takes all of 5 minutes to make and once you have bought all the different ingredients you can use them to make all different kinds of natural beauty products for your family!
DIY Bath Bomb Ingredients
- ⅓ cup shea butter (nourishes and moisturizes)
- ⅓ cup sweet almond oil (leaves skin feeling silky) – this is my favorite carrier oil for all my essential oils uses… you could also use jojoba oil or coconut oil!
- ½ cup powdered milk (soothes and softens)
- ¼ cup honey powder (adds a touch of sweetness and hydration)
- Additional ¼ cup powdered milk for rolling (optional, but adds a lovely touch)
All The Supplies
- Silicone molds (I love using a cylinder mold for cute, individual melts)
- Heat-safe mixing bowl or measuring cup
- Spoon
Directions To Make The Natural Bath Bombs
This is a super simple way to make organic bath bombs without harmful chemicals! It is the perfect combination of fast and easy!
Melt & Mix: First thing, in your heat-safe bowl, microwave the shea butter and sweet almond oil for 1 minute. Stir well, and if needed, microwave for another 30 seconds until everything is melted. Add the powdered milk and honey powder, stirring until you have a smooth liquid mixture (reserve some powdered milk for the end!)
Mold & Set: Next carefully spoon the mixture into your silicone mold. I usually fill about 10 cavities. Let these beauties air dry for a full 24 hours to harden.
Finishing Touch: Once they're solid, pop them out of the mold. For a touch of luxury, roll them in the extra powdered milk – it looks so pretty!
Store & Enjoy: Keep your bath melts in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. They'll stay fresh for weeks! When you're ready to unwind, simply drop one or two into a warm bath and let the magic happen.
