The gentle exfoliation is what sets this soap apart! It has just the right amount of texture from ingredients like oatmeal, crushed eucalyptus, lavender flowers, and chamomile.

Plus, it's infused with soothing lavender, chamomile, and eucalyptus fragrance oil – aromatherapy in the shower! Combining the smells of nature with the soap mixture into bars of soap is just heavenly!

Let's Get Started!

Here's what you'll need to make your own:

  • Soap mold: I got a simple rectangular silicone mold from Amazon (I got two silicone soap molds so I could make two batches at a time)
  • Melt and pour soap base (10% Goat Milk): Goat's milk is my favorite; it's extra moisturizing! (includes Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Safflower Oil, Goat’s Milk, and Sodium Hydroxide
  • Lavender buds, crushed eucalyptus, chamomile, and oatmeal
  • Lavender oil, eucalyptus, and chamomile essential oils
  • Spouted measuring cup: Makes pouring easier!
  • Small spray bottle of rubbing alcohol: Helps prevent bubbles
  • Wavy soap cutter: A fun touch for pretty bars

Yields 4 bars of soap depending on the size of your mold!

Soap Making Instructions:

The key to this recipe for me is using a premade soap base! The best part is that instead of having to measure flakes and monitor temperature, it is just cut it into small pieces and stick it in the microwave to melt!

Here are the full instructions for this super simple recipe!

Chop and melt: Cut your soap base into 1-inch cubes and pop them into the measuring cup. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring well between each, until it's fully melted.

Essential oil magic: Let the base cool a bit, then add your essential oils (I used 15 drops lavender essential oil, 14 drops chamomile, 10 drops eucalyptus). Stir well.

Add the oatmeal: Mix in your crushed oatmeal for that gentle exfoliation.

Layer it up: Start layering your soap and botanicals in the mold. Pour a bit of base, spray with rubbing alcohol (this prevents air bubbles), sprinkle in eucalyptus leaves, let set briefly, then add more soap base and another alcohol spritz.

Repeat this process for the dried lavender and chamomile soap batter layers.

Finishing touches: Add the rest of the soap base, spray the top of the soap with alcohol one last time, and sprinkle the remaining botanicals on top.

Patience is key: This is the hardest part! Let your soap set for 4-8 hours. Once firm, use the wavy bar soap cutter to slice it into beautiful bars.
