As a paper crafter I have SO MUCH PAPER! In fact 3 of my Kallax cubes were full of paper so I got an amazing paper sorter that was made to fit right into my Kallax cube!

Get The Inserts!
I know sometimes you are in the “take my money” stage and you just wanna know how to get the products! I am NOT an affiliate for these products, I just used them to organize my craftroom and thought you might like them too!
Here are the inserts I bought for my craft room from Stamp N Storage:
- Paper sorter
- Carousel Insert (here is my take on the Carousel with pictures!)
- Drawers (here is my take on the Drawers with pictures!)
Stamp N Storage Paper Sorter
I found the most amazing Kallax cube storage inserts from a company called Stamp N Storage. They make a super high quality wooden insert that will slide right into your Kallax cubes!
Priming The Kallax Cubes Inserts
Because I knew that I was going to be painting these with regular old acrylic paint, I had to prime them before I started painting or they would suck up all my lovely paint!
The one sitting next to it is the Carousel Kallax Cube Insert that I love so much for all my embossing powders!
I used a spray primer because I was afraid that using a wetter primer on open wood like this could warp it or make it funny.
Part Way Through Painting
I didn't get a fancy mid-way picture of the painting process for this one, just know that it looked TERRIBLE in the middle like all my projects do… hahaha!
Rainbow Painted Kallax Cube Paper Sorter Insert
Oh my gosh, I could not be happier with how this beautiful paper sorter turned out! It is bright and colorful but still super good at corralling all the different papers I make. I have found that I am actually USING the backgrounds I make more now than ever before!
Paper Sorter FAQs
I know I had a bunch of questions when I was thinking about investing over a hundred dollars in one insert so here are some answers!
Does this hold 8.5″ or 12″ Paper?
This divided paper sorter has two different sections. The top flat shelves will hold 12″X12″ paper and the bottom shelves hold a bit bigger than 8.5″X11″.
I am a paper crafter and mixed media artist rather than a scrapbooker so most of my paper is letter sized!
How can you keep little pieces of paper together?
Stamp N Storage offers a paper sleeve that is super cool! It has the naming tab at the end so that when you slide it into the lower shelves you can label your papers.
I feel like this was a must have for me because I have all different sizes of paper AND I can pull everything out at once and not try to stuff things in there!
What kind of paint did I use?
I used Tim Holtz Distress Paint because I like the colors… a little darker tone than normal paint colors. But you could use any kind of paint, even red apple paint from Walmart if you are on a budget from buying the paper insert!
Rainbow Kallax Cube Paper Sorter Wrapup
I hope you love this project as much I as do! It took ONE MILLION YEARS (okay a couple of weeks) to do all the different rainbow Kallax inserts, but I love how they all look in my craft room and more importantly how much easier it is to do my crafting!
