Why I NEED Halloween Ephemera

My birthday is 2 days before Halloween and my middle girl's birthday is 1 day before Halloween, so I have always loved seeing all the spooky and creepy decorations, parties and trick-or-treaters.

I also tend to craft in more of a spooky dark way that many of the “normal” journallers so this kind of artwork is right in my wheelhouse! It is half vintage ephemera and half spooky creepy!

I thought it would be fun to play with the Halloween tags and tickets and make some art journal pages!

Don't forget you don't always have to use the tags whole, oftentimes I will cut out little bits of the tag to use it as a special image in my junk journals!

How I Print My Ephemera

You don't need any special printer or paper to print these. I use “presentation paper” and a color Epsom printer to do them.

Colors may vary, but you will do the best if you print them in high quality on the slow setting rather than “fast printing”.

I generally put these collage sheets on some kind of “backer paper” like cardstock or mixed media paper to make them a little more stiff.

I used a variety of sources for the images in these tags including Graphics Fairy (pictures in the public domain) and Big Stock Photo. All images were purchased and the designs are my own.
